HER EVERLASTING LEGACY

“You must act as if it is impossible to fail.”

African Proverb

Africa has a rich history of female leadership- from queens and female chiefs to strong political leaders, all of whom have left behind successful legacies which have built the continent. .

Female pharaohs, such as Cleopatra and Nefertiti ruled ancient Egypt. Queen Nzinga was a warrior queen with an army made almost entirely of women, and became a barrier against enslavement of her Congolese people. In Kenya, Chief Wangu was the only female tribal leader who led her clan during the fight for independence in a time when the position was held exclusively by men.

Her Everlasting Legacy honours all these African female leaders of the ages, whose long-lasting impact have shaped the collective heritage of the continent and became the centre points of African legacy.
